about

Folk-Rock and storytelling entwined in three epic song cycles that span a period of over seven years in my life. The music has evolved and grown as I have and now it is extremely exciting to bring to you an album that plays with song writing and storytelling, atmosphere and the spirit of collective creation.
Though I have written the lyrics and core of the music structure, dancers, fellow musicians and yes, even puppets - have lent their hand to the creation of this work. I'm humbled to have so many great people, artists, family and friends help to bring this work to life.
Recording this album has been an exercise in patience.
Since July of 2010, (Diagnosed 2012) I was bitten by a tick and as a result am battling Lyme's Disease. As such finding time, energy, and my own thunder have been large obstacles. That being said dear listeners (New and Old!), you've helped carry me through and supported me all the way - this album is for you, and for those whose own thunder may have been stolen. Just remember - we've got the lightning!

Much Love, and I hope you enjoy!

Huge Speical Thanks to my great love Caitlin Langlois, David Stein for his amazing work and dedication to this project, to Liisa Smith and r.a.d Dance Troupe for their collaborative dance and inspiration over the years, to the Shadow of a Doubt Collective for the artistic inspiration in puppetry for the videos and Krista Dalby and Mile Murtanovski of Small Pond Arts - EPIC thanks to Katrina Carey for convincing me to play 12-string, and most of all to each and every person who donated their time, energy and hard earned money to the cause of this recording - you humble me deeply! "My heart is full!"

Ginger Bread Run is dedicated to the memory of my mother Barbara-Ruth Doucette, who was the greatest storyteller I've known and who always encouraged me to sing, and who unabashedly sang all the time too. Keep on rocking where ever you are Mom! Love You!
